| My first film role was in a 1987 low budget horror-comedy shot in NY called She's Back, with Carrie Fisher starring. We shot it in the middle of winter at 4am in the Brooklyn Navy Yards. It was a blast. That role of the pimp Meathook was one of the first of many bad guys that I've played. While I was still living in NY I appeared in Jacknife starring Robert DeNiro and Ed Harris, Fletch Lives starring Chevy Chase, and the picture that would bring me to LA: Lockup. In that movie starring Sylvester Stallone and Donald Sutherland, I was an evil prison guard. I treated the (of course) innocent Stallone like garbage. As we were shooting, the director: John Flynn and Sylvester Stallone decided I had to get what was coming to me. So in a great fight scene that we shot for several days, I finally got what I deserved. Once I settled in Los Angeles, the roles came in such movies as: Doc Hollywood starring Michael J. Fox , The Rookie directed by and starring Clint Eastwood and Charlie Sheen. I was also in Amos and Andrew starring Nicholas Cage and Samuel L. Jackson, Speed, Species, The American President, Life, Ghosts of Mississippi, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, Before and After, and Crazy in Alabama among others. My recent movies include: Beautiful starring Minnie Driver and directed by Sally Field, and the award-winning The Visit starring Hill Harper and Billy Dee Williams, and More Dogs Than Bones starring Whoopi Goldberg and Mercedes Ruehl, Alex and Emma starring Luke Wilson and Kate Hudson, and Rumor Has It, starring Kevin Costner and Jennifer Anniston. My 6th Rob Reiner movie: The Bucket List, starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, opened at Chrismastime 2007 to huge success. |
