I've been acting for over 40 years and teaching for nearly 20.
Born in NY and raised in Miami, I started acting in plays as a teenager at school and in a 35 seat storefront theatre. This prepared me for Carnegie-Mellon University and its famed drama department, where I received my classical training as an actor.
After CMU, I moved to NY where I began my career. I worked on Broadway at the Belasco Theatre for the New York Shakespeare Festival, and several summers at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park. I worked at Soho Rep, LaMama, The Kitchen, Ohio Theatre, INTAR, and was a company member of The Working Theater.
I've had the opportunity to work at some great Regional Theatres like Great Lakes Theatre Festival, Portland Stage Company, Cleveland PlayHouse, The Aurora Theatre, Theatreworks, TheatreVirginia and The Hippodrome Theatre.
It was during that time that I started working in Film and TV and then in 1989 I made the move from NY to Los Angeles.
I've made over 80 Film and TV appearances. I've been in over 150 plays and have worked On and Off-Broadway, in Regional Theatres and at some of the best Los Angeles stages, including The Ahmanson, Pacific Resident Theater, The Blank Theatre, and the Odyssey Theatre. I'm an Artistic Associate with the New American Theatre in residence at the Odyssey Theatre.
